Almond Blossom

Almond Blossom

In January 1890, Theo wrote to his brother that he named his newborn son Vincent Willem. As a gift to his nephew and his parents, Vincent painted the Almond Blossom. As a symbol of new life, he chose the almond tree as the subject for a painting. This painting was a present from Vincent to the new parents.
